The extension parses the feed you're already looking at, strips out anything personal, and works out what each post is about and how it's framed — locally, before anything is sent.

Emotional tone, factual quality, us-vs-them framing, and more — scored per topic and compared against everyone, your circle, or an interest cohort. You might be mainstream on quality but sit with the outrage-heavy 10% on tone.

Privacy is the product

Vaarta is built privacy-first, not bolted on. Because it runs on your machine, every claim here is verifiable by reading the source.

On-device first
Handles, emails, phone numbers and links are stripped and the text truncated in your browser before anything is sent.
Pseudonymous
No captured content is tied to your identity. Handles leave only as salted, weekly-rotating hashes.
k-anonymity
A comparison slice is only ever shown when enough different people contribute to it.
Differential privacy
Served counts carry noise — exact numbers are never exposed.
One egress point
Every network request routes through a single documented module. There are no hidden calls.

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder.
